May
14th, 1970, a called communication for the purpose of paying our last
sad tribute of respect to our deceased brother, James E. Ingram.
Services were conducted by W. B. J. F. Johnson. Burial was at Rest
Haven Cemetery.
May
26th 1970, the lodge voted to reimburse W. B. J. D. Nelson for the
amount paid by him for a new water heater for the lodge. Thanks to
Brothers Nelson and Byron Floyd for installing the water heater at no
cost to the lodge.
November
10th, 1970, it was reported that Brother Albert Hurst died and several
of our members attended the funeral and some acted as pall bearers.
December
8th, 1970, motion was made, seconded and carried for someone to finish
installing the carpet.

January
12th, 1971, a report from the sign committee that the best price had
been submitted by Colite Industries, Inc. Installation price
$841.34 and the un-installed price was $643.75. A lamp for the
secretaries desk was donated by W. B. J. D. Akins. It was made by
his father as were the 3 Lesser Lights and the 3 Columns.
January
26th, 1971, WB O. U. Moore reported that the water tower for the air
conditioning could and would be moved from the roof. Motion made,
seconded and carried that sign for Masons, Eastern Star and Rainbow be
purchased and installed.
February
9th, 1971, motion was made, seconded and carried that lodge rescind its
action on purchase of sign from Colite Industries. Another motion
made, seconded and carried that the above sign be purchased from Anchor
Signs for $245.
March
28th, 1971, a called communication for the purpose of paying our last
sad tribute of respect for deceased brother Harold Clifford Kelley.
Graveside services were conducted by WB Samuel B. Lewis of Riverdale
Lodge 709.
April
13th, 1971, Brother Henry Wilkison will build 3 permanent tables for our
outside kitchen if lodge will furnish angle iron. Motion made,
seconded and carried for this to be done. Tables will have
stainless steel tops.
April
27th, 1971, the Eastern Star requested permission to purchase 2 chairs
and an altar for the lodge room. Chairs to be in the East and
West. Motion made, seconded and carried that the above be
permitted and the Eastern Star should purchase another chair for the
South and the lodge would reimburse them for this chair.
August
24th, 1971, WM Rice appointed committee to purchase a new vacuum
cleaner. Motion made seconded and carried to purchase 2 additional
chairs for the lodge making a total of 3.
November
9th, 1971, motion made, seconded and carried to purchase a new water
cooler.
Motion
made, seconded and carried that Jewels be purchased for officers of the
lodge. Cost to be approximately $105.
December

8th, 1972 the chair committee reported that they were purchasing new

24th, 1973, the Worshipful Master announced that an awning would be
installed over the front door at a cost of $89.00. An awning for
the side door was donated by WB Herbert Rice.
July
24th, 1973, Worshipful Master Mellard purchased a chart for the
Fellowcraft Degree Lecture at a cost of $15.60. The lodge voted to
reimburse.

14th, 1974 a called communication for the purpose of paying our last sad
tribute of respect for our deceased brother Orland Brasfield. The
brother was interned at Stockbridge Cemetery with graveside services
conduced by Worshipful Brother J. D. Akins.
May
12th, 1974, a motion was made and approved that the lodge purchase a
tombstone or Brother Brasfield's grave. Cost $75.00.
June
3rd, 1974. a called communication for the purpose of paying our last sad
tribute of respect for our deceased brother Worshipful John A Berry.
The graveside services were conducted by Worshipful Brother J. D. Akins.
September
24th, 1974, The Lodge voted to let the White Shrine use the Lodge on the
first Monday of each Month.

28th, 1975, motion made, seconded and carried that a bulletin board be
installed downstairs to post events. Brother McIntyre and Brother
Medlock were in charge. Worshipful Master thanked the brethren for
the work in the kitchen such as new door and installation of steam table
and a sink. Brother Henry Wilkerson was given a special thanks for
donation of steam table and sink. Motion made, seconded and
carried that a storage cabinet be installed downstairs.

21, 1979, the Lodge thanked Brother J. B. Floyd for the picture DARKNESS
TO LIGHT that was installed in the Lodge Hall.

8, 1979, discussion on Ole Stockbridge Days Festival and if to be a
yearly event, the Lodge should participate in some way. (This was
recorded as it is the lst time Ole Stockbridge Days, in which we now

21, 1979, the Lodge was informed that Brother James Otis Cown died on
July 15, 1979.

14, 1979, the Lodge was informed of the deaths of Brother James W. West
on July 24, 1979 and Brother Ralph E. Busch on August 7, 1979.
