12th, motion made and seconded to form a Fellowcraft Club.

9th, motion made and seconded to hire lodge cleaned 2 times each month
at $5 per month. If Order of the Eastern Star would pay half, the
lodge would be cleaned each

before the Eastern Star Meeting. Motion made to purchase the water
cooler from Brother Owen for $30 and also pay him for the fittings.
February
23rd, motion made and seconded to sell the old water cooler for $5 to
Brother Frank Owen.

1st, a call communication for the purpose of paying the last respect and
burial of Brother Phillip Otis Bass who died May 1st, 1960.
Graveside services were conducted by Brother Adell McCullough.

the lodge.

11th, a called communication to pay our last respects and burial of
Brother Claude Tobey. Graveside services were held at West View
Cemetery with Brother J. F. Johnson conducting the ceremony.

11th, motion made, seconded and carried that dues be raised from $10 to
$15.

admission to the Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children for Arleen

16th, There was an open installation of officers for 1961. The
Grand Secretary, Brother Daniel W. Locklin was the installing officer.

January
10th, the officers not installed at the December 16th meeting were
installed. Brother Frank Owen acted as the Deputy Grand Master and
P.M. Brother Cecil Love acted as the Deputy Grand Marshall. The lodge
voted to rent the downstairs of the lodge for a dancing school 2 nights
a week. Motion made and seconded that the lodge purchase one dozen
aprons and tubes. Two brothers appointed to find some sort of
stairway covering to go on the stairs to keep out sand on the floors.
April
11th, motion made & seconded to permit the Order of the Eastern Star
discontinue paying rent until further notice. Motion made to let
the OES upholster chairs and refinish furniture as requested.

25th, motion made & seconded to put Cokes in the refrigerator on the
honor system.

one downstairs which had gone bad.

27th, motion M&S for the Secretary to purchase the necessary items

tell the county to discontinue the use of the lodge halls for the giving

25th, motion M&S and approved that Brother Henry Wilkerson make
six(6) table frames (?). This would in turn pay his lodge dues for

28th, The acting Secretary announced that Brother Claude M. Turner died
on July 21, 1964.
September
8th, it was reported that a contractor is to start work on repairing the
roof. There is a 20 year guarantee. Cost $710.

25th, 1966, motion made and seconded to use plastic name plates on the
Past Masters pictures.

22nd, 1966, motion made and seconded to discontinue free drinks at our
regular meetings and until voted, otherwise to be ten cents.
Motion made and seconded for the lodge to not pay for the coffee, cream,
sugar and cups.
March
22nd, 1966, a request was made from the City of Stockbridge to buy 20
feet of the lodge property next to city hall or be given permission to
drive the city trucks across the lodge property to a garage they were
going to build behind the lodge. Motion made and seconded not to
grant this request. Motion made and seconded for Brother
Chritezberg to blow his horn 15 minutes before each meeting.
May
10th, 1966, motion made and seconded that if the Father, Mother,
Brother, Sister, Wife or Child of a member of Stockbridge Lodge 691
should die, the lodge would send flowers and pay for them out of the
flower fund.

14th, 1966, motion made and seconded and voted on by lodge to sell
freezer for $15.00. Motion made and seconded and voted by lodge to
lay cornerstone of Mt. Carmel Road Baptist Church. Date not set.

Brother Harvey Dee Evans who died July 1st, 1966. Graveside
services was conducted at Forest Hills Cemetery by Stockbridge Lodge 691
with W. B. J. T. Roberts conducting the ceremony.

26th, 1966, letter read from Grand Master of Georgia Rupert H. Bramblett,
stating that if they had any members raised to the sublime degree of
Master Mason more than 45 days ago and who have not done so, must
demonstrate proficiency to the Master's Obligation.

Fraternal Lodge #37, McDonough use Stockbridge facilities until they
could build a lodge or find a suitable place to hold meetings.

23rd, 1968, The Worshipful Master gave a short talk on Masonic Conduct
and that profane language and drinking on lodge property would not be
tolerated.
February
13th, 1968, letter read from City of Stockbridge to place a gas tank on
lodge property next to the city hall building. This was tabled
until next regular communication.
February
27th, 1968, a motion was made, seconded and carried that the Worshipful
Master and Wardens be given the authority to give a easement deed to the
City of Stockbridge for enough land to bury a gas tank and erect a pump
adjacent to the city hall building with the stipulation that it be
removed in 30 days if the lodge request it.
March
12th, 1968, Worshipful Master reported that easement deed to city of
Stockbridge had been signed.
July
9th, 1968, communication was read from Masonic Home of Georgia that
furniture in Junior and intermediate boys was in bad condition and
repair was cost prohibitive. The Home made a request for any lodge
wishing to could furnish ½ room for about $178 and a whole room for
about $356. Motion made and seconded and carried that Stockbridge
Lodge furnish a whole room. Masonic home also said that a brass plate
would be placed in the room with the donor's name on it.
October
24th, 1968, called communication for the purpose of paying our last
respects for departed Brother William Ishmael Walker. Brother
Walker was laid to rest in Stockbridge City Cemetery. Ceremony was
conducted by Brother Johnson.
November
26th, 1968, a motion was made, seconded and carried to accept an offer
from the Eastern Star to pay $100 on freezer-refrigerator if lodge would
pay balance of $35.
December
10th, 1968, being the last meeting of the year, elections of officers

28th, 1969, it was announced that the mortgage of the building was paid
in full. Celebration to be held later.
February
25, 1969, motion made, seconded and carried to have the burning of the
mortgage on the 1st Saturday in April. This date selected as it is
near the time of the month when the 1st meeting was held, and the
dedication and cornerstone laying.
April
8th, 1969, the Junior Warden, Herbert Rice offered to contribute $100
toward the purchase of a screen, projector and slides for the
Fellowcraft Degree. Motion made, seconded and carried that
Worshipful Brother J. D. Akins investigate the purchase of the above and
if satisfactory, to proceed with the purchase.
May
9th, 1969, the lodge was presented with two (2) beautiful framed poems
by Brother John Heflin.
May
13th, 1969, it was reported that the projector and screen were
purchased.
July
8th, 1969, the lodge was presented an ash tray made by the wife of the
Worshipful Master.
